One of my favorite designers is Vera Wang. She is an American fashion designer who was based out of New York. She is very well known for her wedding dresses. Vera began getting into fashion at a very early age. She used to go to fashion shows in Paris with her mom. If she was not a designer, she would probably be a figure skater. She competed as a kid and tried out to be in the Olympics. She did not make it, that is when she entered the fashion world.
I love how Vera makes cloths so different, yet they fit awesome. The colors are my favorite. I bought a navy dress that hits my knees. It has bronze lace at the top with little plastic bronze diamond beads. I would have never thought to put that all together. She tends to have a muted color pallet, which makes it really classic and not too flashy. Most of the stuff is flowy and loose fitting, yet somehow flattering.
She also makes lingerie, pajamas, "lavender label," runway shows, eyewear, fragrance, and of course wedding dresses. Also, at Kohl's she has a line called “Simply Vera” which includes pajamas, clothes, coats and purses. This is a less expensive version of her regular (Vera Wang) line.
Vera Wang proves you can maintain the same idea of style and still continue to make beautiful, timeless pieces.
